Game of Thrones Territory – the North Coast of Ireland Part One.

 

So a couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and I took our first trip of the year to the North Coast of Ireland or as my boyfriend refers to it as ‘Game of Thrones territory.’ Not having watched the program or having any wish to do so I just nodded in response to him telling me about the different filming locations as we made our way up the coast.

The Giant’s Causeway

The Giant’s Causeway is one of Ireland’s top tourist destinations and a UNESCO world heritage site. The causeway is situated in Northern Ireland and is run by the National Trust. The Giant’s Causeway has been a tourist destination for centuries and more recently has become one of the places to visit if you are in Ireland. The Saturday Supplement

Happy Saturday evening everyone! How has your week been? Mine has been filled with food, wine, beer and my first set of (many) flights of the year! I spent two days on the North Coast of Ireland and visited the wonderful Giant’s Causeway (pictured above is the walk down to the Causeway) which also consisted of eating my own body weight in ice cream after visiting the Giant’s Causeway. Heaven!

London Calling Part Three: The Thames.

Everyone, or nearly everyone, knows that the Thames is the river that divides London in two. The Thames is also the river that for centuries was the commercial and boating centre of London. Nowadays, the Thames attracts many visitors to walk along the Embankment beside the river or to visit the many attractions that are situated near the river.
