If you go down to the woods today….

If you read my last blog post you know that I’ve been going on several roadtrips across Northern and Souther Ireland in the last couple of weeks. Partly to staid off boredom whilst I look for a new job (the joys of being unemployed!) and partly to see parts of Ireland in my own time and at my own pace. So on this road trip I decided to visit a local Forest Park and explore all that nature has to offer…

Saturday Supplement

Happy Saturday! How has your week been? Mine’s been busy with job applications, job applications and oh wait more job applications! Plus the a road trip, content creating and the general business of day-to-day-life! Hope your week has been good and you’re looking forward to the weekend. So without further ado check out some weekend reading below!

Are you on a tight budget and like to eat healthy? Like myself I live on a pretty small budget and this brilliant article details how to eat healthy if your budget is really, really tight.

Great article on why and how ‘anonymous women’ has become a pre-cursor when we don’t know or can’t be bothered to find out about women’s histories.

Courtney Carver discusses how to travel with only a half-packed, hand luggage only suitcase. This is something I’ve got to practice as I tend to overpack!

Funny and hilarious article on why we shouldn’t reward ourselves with food, but reward ourselves with an at home facial, exercise or spa treatements!

My boyfriend and I are big fans of the ‘date night’ and have one or two of these every weekend. This great article discusses why it’s important to do different things on date nights if you’re in a long term relationship.

The New Statesman discusses how Brexit will affect the arts and culture industry in the UK. As someone directly affected by this this article has some good talking points.

Want to know what hashtags to use do for your Instagram shots of your travelling adventures? This article has the top travel hashtags for 2017 all listed on one page, handy!

As always my weekend will revolve around food and this recipe. Though who’s kidding my whole life revolves around food!

Finally, an ode to my favorite way to relax, a good old-fashioned soak in my bath accompanied by a good book and a glass of wine or some beer!

Daisy, Daisy give me a murder to!?

So as you probably know by now that I love to read a lot. In fact I read on average five to six detective fiction or historical non-fiction books a week. To say I that I consume books, that I’m a ravid reader or a bibliophile of Biblical proportions is an understatement! I’ve recently discovered the amazing Daisy Dalrymple murder mystery series by Carola Dunn.

Spring has Sprung !

Last week the weather was beautiful and sunny. But still cold. This gave me the idea of going on a drive through the countryside near to where I live and I’d thought I’d bring you along with me to discover some breathtaking Irish scenery. Buckle-up you’re in for some sunny, blue skies!
